Our Policies
Scheduling Appointments
We are conducting appointments primarily in-person but continue to offer some care virtually (via telephone). You can schedule an appointment by calling our office at 647-331-3152 or online via Cortico. In order to book an appointment online, you must be a registered patient in our practice. This is no cost to using the patient portal. Please note that you may only schedule in-person appointments online. We also ask that you do not schedule an appointment for an urgent issue using the patient portal. If you have a medical emergency, please proceed to your nearest emergency department.
Prescription Renewals
You may ask your pharmacy to fax us a refill request for your regular prescription medications at 647-689-6985. At present, there is no charge for prescription refills. Please be aware that prescription refill requests may take a minimum of 1 week to process. We kindly ask that you plan ahead and submit your request well in advance to avoid any interruptions in your medication. Please do not ask your pharmacy to send us a refill request for antibiotics or medications that you have not used in the last year. We require an office visit for refills of controlled substances such as opioids, stimulants and benzodiazepines.
Test Results
We do not have a no news is good news policy for test results. If you do not hear from us, it does not mean that your test results are normal. Please make an appointment to discuss your test results.
No Show and Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, contact our clinic immediately. Since appointments are in high demand, your prompt cancellation will give another patient the opportunity to access timely medical care. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you may incur a no-show fee.
Late Arrival
Patients who are 15 or more minutes late may be asked to reschedule their appointment and a fee may apply.
Safety
Harassment or abuse will not be tolerated. This includes yelling, swearing, or any other abusive behavior. Such conduct may result in dismissal from the practice.
